Welcome to Central Pennsylvania Conference's examples of policies for local churches.  The policies on this page have been adopted by the church's Administrative Board/Council and are in effect.  We have included them because they have all the elements for helping their congregation reduce the risk of child abuse in their congregations.

Feel free to use these as guides as you develop the policies for your local congregation.

You will also find on this portion of the website a "User-Agreement for Non-Church Organizations." The question is often raised about outside groups who use the church building, including ecumenical ministries for Bible School.  Every organization that is not directly sponsored by your congregation should fill out either this form on one similar.  It helps protect your congregation.

It is important that every outside organization have Safe Sanctuary policies that are at least as stringent as the ones recommended on this web site.  It is also essential that you make sure that every outside organization has their own insurance coverage.
